Making a DIFF together

By J Christe

gracecentersofhopeHave you ever wanted to make a difference in someone’s life and have fun at the same time?

I had that opportunity last weekend while serving dinner at Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, Michigan along with team members from Rock Financial/Quicken Loans & Title Source. I also brought along my daughter Christina and my friend Mr. Love. It happens to be our favorite place to volunteer.

I know that life can be very busy and it seems like we just never have the time to do the things we want to do let alone volunteer.  We sometimes forget that by just giving a little of your time, a few kind words and a smile. You can make a huge difference. Not to mention the life lessons that your children can learn. I can promise one thing, you will walk away from here feeling energized and inspired to do more.

The only disappointing part is that it was over so fast and I had to leave the friends that I made behind, till next time. I am so happy to work for a company that understands the importance of giving back and staying in touch with the community. Together we made a DIFF.
